Dr. Ann Bailey is currently serving as director of Housing and Residence Life at Mississippi State University. A Birmingham, Alabama native, she holds degrees from Mountain Brook High School, University of Montevallo (B.S.), The Florida State University (M.S.), and Mississippi State University (Ph.D.). Bailey worked in student affairs positions at Belhaven University in Jackson, Mississippi, early in her career and also at the Mississippi Department of Education with adult literacy/adult education. She is a member of Alpha Gamma Delta Sorority and is a past president of the Southern Association for College Student Affairs. Bailey is an active member of First Baptist Church of Starkville, MS, volunteers with the Starkville Miss Hospitality Pageant, and serves as MSU Fashion Board Advisor. As a volunteer in the Miss America Scholarship Pageant Program, she works with both the Miss Mississippi State University and the Miss University of Alabama local preliminaries.
