Message from the President

Greetings SACSA!

An ongoing goal of the Executive Council is to ensure our organization's bylaws are up-to-date and align with operations and our values.

The EC is proposing (1) the Presidential Scholar be on ex-officio member of the EC like the Executive Director and Conference Chair in that the individual is still appointed and would not have a vote; (2) that the President-Elect serve as the SACSA Foundation liaison rather than the Past President; (3) the past president serve as the liaison for the Awards & Recognition Committee; and (4) providing more specifics on the duties and responsibilities for the standing committees and special positions within the Association.

We hope that you will take a moment to review the proposed changes and submit your vote. An email invitation to cast your vote for these changes will be sent to all active members on Tuesday, February 11.

I would like to issue a special thank you to the Executive Council for their work on the SACSA Bylaws this year, and thank you for electing us to serve our beloved Association.

In SACSA Spirit,

Jason Cassidy, Ph.D.
SACSA President
